Call for Evidence - National Maternity and Neonatal Investigation
Baroness Amos is asking women and families across England to share their experiences of maternity and neonatal care through a public Call for Evidence.

The Call for Evidence will ensure that the voices of women and families, including fathers, partners and non-birthing partners, are heard. They would greatly appreciate your support in raising awareness of the Call for Evidence, as it is vital in ensuring women and families across England have the opportunity to share their experiences.

The Call for Evidence is open to the public until 17th March 2026. Responses to the Call for Evidence will be used to inform the development of the national recommendations which will shape the future of maternity and neonatal services in England.

The Call for Evidence consists of two surveys:

One for women and people who have been pregnant to share their own experiences of maternity and neonatal services

One for other people to share their experiences supporting someone through pregnancy.

This could include fathers, non-birthing partners, family members, friends, or other support people. They have also produced a comms pack for stakeholders to share this widely, which includes: sample social media content with a QR code/or link to the online survey; a printable poster with QR code linking to the online survey and a shareable press release with details of the Call for Evidence.
